Werkspot alternative: what exactly are you paying for?
Sources checked on 11 August 2026
On Werkspot you pay per lead: you buy a customer's contact details, and you incur that cost even when you do not win the job. Werkspot explains this on its own help centre. On JouwPro replying is free and you pay a 15 percent service fee only after you win and complete a job, capped at 500 euro.
How does Werkspot charge?
Signing up to Werkspot costs nothing and there is no subscription. You pay the moment a customer shares their contact details with you. That is a lead, and the price is fixed before you reply.
What a lead costs depends on the trade and on the size of the job: surface area, quantities such as doors or window frames, and the material. Werkspot's own help centre gives a range of 3 to 96 euro per lead.
If you do not win the job, the lead fee stands. Werkspot has a help centre article with exactly that question as its title. The reasoning is that the jobs you do win have to cover the leads that come to nothing.
There is a refund scheme, but what you get back is credit rather than money. That credit can only be used for new leads and is valid for one year. This is in Werkspot's terms and conditions.
For customers Werkspot is free. Posting a job costs nothing.
How does JouwPro charge?
On JouwPro signing up costs nothing, a profile costs nothing and replying to a job costs nothing. There is no subscription and we do not sell on contact details.
When you win a job posted on JouwPro and complete it, we charge a 15 percent service fee on the agreed amount, excluding VAT. There is a cap of 500 euro per job.
We charge nothing on requests from external sources. Those jobs are not ours: we show that they exist and point you to where they are. Whatever happens there is outside us, even if you win the job.
When is Werkspot the better choice?
When you want to see as many requests as possible today. Werkspot has been around for years and is one of the largest home improvement platforms in the Netherlands. We started in 2026 and do not have that volume.
So the difference is not about who is better, it is about what you need right now. If work is thin, paying for leads is a defensible choice. If things are going well and it bothers you to pay for conversations that lead nowhere, settling up only on a job you win makes more sense.
You do not actually have to choose. Replying on JouwPro costs you nothing, so you can run it alongside.
Why there are no lead prices for other platforms here
Homedeal and Trustoo do not publish their lead prices. The amounts you read about elsewhere almost always come from competitors, and they contradict each other. So we do not repeat them.
For Werkspot we only quote what is on their own help centre and in their own terms. The links are at the bottom of this page.
Werkspot and JouwPro side by side
| What | Werkspot | JouwPro |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to a job | Costs money, you buy the lead | Free |
| When you pay | Before you speak to the customer | After the job is completed |
| If you do not win the job | You still pay the lead fee | You pay nothing |
| Subscription | None | None |
| What the customer pays | Nothing | Nothing |
| On a job of 2,000 euro | The lead fee, whatever the outcome | 300 euro, and only if you win and complete it |
| On a job of 8,000 euro | The lead fee, whatever the outcome | 500 euro, because that is the cap |
Where JouwPro still falls short
JouwPro started in 2026 and there are not dozens of our own jobs on the site every day yet. If you want to see as many requests as possible today, the big platforms have more. What we put against that: looking and replying cost nothing, so you can run us alongside your current platform at no cost.
Want to see for yourself?
Posting a job costs nothing and so does replying to one. You are not tied to anything.
Frequently asked questions
Does replying on JouwPro really cost nothing?
Yes. Signing up, creating a profile and replying to a job all cost nothing. You pay a 15 percent service fee only once you win and complete a job through JouwPro, capped at 500 euro per job.
On Werkspot, do I pay even if the customer never replies?
According to Werkspot's own help centre you pay the lead fee as soon as the customer shares their contact details with you. Whether you win the job afterwards does not change that. There is a refund scheme, but it pays out credit rather than money.
What does a lead cost on Werkspot?
Werkspot's own help centre gives a range of 3 to 96 euro per lead. The price depends on the trade and the size of the job, and is fixed before you reply.
Am I tied to a subscription on JouwPro?
No. There is no subscription, no notice period and no minimum spend. If you do not reply to anything for a month, you pay nothing.
What do I pay on a job of 5,000 euro?
15 percent of 5,000 euro works out above the cap of 500 euro per job. So you pay 500 euro, and only if the job comes together through JouwPro and is completed.
