Terms and conditions

Last updated: August 2026

JouwPro is a platform where customers post a job and professionals respond to it. These terms apply to everyone who uses the site, whether as a customer, as a professional or as a visitor. If something important changes, we will say so and update the date above.

1. What JouwPro is and is not

We bring supply and demand together. The work itself, the price, the planning, the warranty and everything else that gets agreed is a matter between the customer and the professional.

JouwPro is not a party to that agreement. We are not a contractor, not a client and not a representative of either side. If something goes wrong with the work, that plays out between customer and professional. We are happy to think along when there is friction, but we cannot step into their shoes.

We do not vet professionals for craftsmanship in advance and we issue no seal of approval. A customer chooses for themselves who gets the job.

2. Responding is free for professionals

Signing up costs nothing, a profile costs nothing and responding to a job costs nothing. You do not pay per lead and you are not tied to a subscription.

We do not sell contact details on and we do not let professionals bid against each other for a higher position.

3. Service fee: 15%, capped at 500 euro per job

If a professional wins a job that was posted on JouwPro and completes it, we charge a 15% service fee on the agreed amount for that job, excluding VAT.

There is a cap of 500 euro per job. If 15% works out higher than that, you pay 500 euro and not a cent more. On a job of 2,000 euro that means 300 euro; on a job of 8,000 euro it is 500 euro instead of 1,200.

We charge nothing on requests from external sources. Those jobs are not ours: we only show that they exist and point you to where they are. Whatever happens there is entirely outside us, so no fee attaches to it, not even if the professional wins the job.

If payment runs through JouwPro, we hold the amount until the customer approves the job. We then pay out, less the service fee. All amounts mentioned are excluding VAT unless stated otherwise.

4. Requests from external sources

Alongside jobs that customers post themselves, we show job requests that are publicly available on other platforms. Such a request always states which source it came from and includes a link to the original posting.

We give no guarantee whatsoever that such a request is correct, complete, still open or up to date. The poster may have withdrawn it long ago or already awarded the job. Check at the source before you put time or money into it. Responding is on your own initiative and at your own expense.

Are you the poster and would you like your request gone from here? There is a link at the bottom of every request to ask for that. We review the request by hand and, if approved, make sure it does not come back in either.

5. What we expect from you

Do not post fake jobs, do not pretend to be someone else, and do not use the platform to push people something other than what they asked for.

Professionals work in their own name and for their own account, and arrange their own registrations, permits, certifications and insurance as their trade requires.

If you do not stick to this, we can remove responses and block or close your account.

6. Liability

We do our best to keep the site running and the information correct, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available or entirely free of errors.

We are not liable for damage arising from a professional's work, from agreements between customer and professional, or from information that comes from an external source.

Where we are liable, that liability is limited to the amount you paid us in service fees over the preceding six months. That limit does not apply in cases of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part, nor where the law does not allow it.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects the rights you have under mandatory law.

7. Ending it

You can stop at any time and have your account deleted. Jobs that are running at that moment you still finish, and service fees on a job that has already been completed remain payable.

We can terminate or block an account if someone does not stick to these terms, or if we shut the platform down. We will give notice in good time.

8. Dutch law

Dutch law applies to these terms and to the use of JouwPro.

If we cannot work it out together, we will put the dispute before the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you may also bring it before the court in your own place of residence.
