Who is behind JouwPro?

Most home improvement platforms in the Netherlands make the tradesperson pay up front for contact details. So they pay for a chance, not for work. Werkspot even explains on its own help centre why you still pay that lead fee when you are not selected.

That ends up with the customer. A tradesperson who pays per request builds those costs into the quote, and mostly replies to jobs that look worth it. Small jobs get left behind.

We turned it around. Replying costs nothing. We only earn when actual work comes out of it.

When a tradesperson wins a job posted on JouwPro and completes it, we charge a 15 percent service fee on the agreed amount, excluding VAT. There is a cap of 500 euro per job.

An example. On a job of 2,000 euro that comes to 300 euro. On a job of 8,000 euro, 15 percent would be 1,200 euro, but the cap keeps it at 500 euro.

We charge nothing on requests from external sources. Those jobs are not ours: we show that they exist and point you to where they are. Whatever happens there is entirely outside us, even if the tradesperson wins the job.

For customers JouwPro is free. Posting costs nothing, receiving replies costs nothing, and you are not tied to anything.

We are not a contractor and not a client. The agreement about the work, the price and the planning is between you and the tradesperson. We bring you together and keep the conversation in one place.

We also do not issue a quality mark and we do not vet tradespeople for craftsmanship beforehand. Anyone promising that is promising something they cannot deliver. What you get from us is clarity: the conversation and the agreements are on record with the job.

If the payment runs through JouwPro, your money is held safely until you approve the work.

New. JouwPro started in 2026 and we do not get dozens of jobs a day yet. Hiding that would be odd on a site that is otherwise about being straight with you.

For you as a customer that means you may get fewer replies than on a platform that has been around for ten years. Trying it costs you nothing and ties you to nothing.

For tradespeople it is the other way around. There is less work here than on the big platforms, but looking and replying costs you nothing either.
